"More than pleasant surprise..."

I booked this hotel based on the great price I received through hotels.com and the previous reviews left by customers. I was pleasantly surprised when the cab pulled up and I realized that I had actually stayed in this hotel 5 or so years ago on my very first stay in Miami. The hotel has seen major renovations to an already nice space. I had a very comfortable and clean room on the first floor. The layout of the hotel meant that I did not deal with much noise from the street. I had an air condition unit in my room that once I received the once over on how to use the remote from the helpful front desk clerk I was well on my way to enjoying my stay. I was literally two blocks away from the sandy beautiful Miami beach and all the great little places to eat. Lincoln road was a short distance away when I wanted to avoid the water on any given day. Overall my hotel added so much to my delightful birthday week in Miami. Very clean rooms, helpful staff and overall a very healthy relaxing private stay at a beautiful hotel!!

My boyfriend and I found the Delores when the hotel I had chosen (nearby) was not to our standards. We LOVE the Delores and ended up staying for over a week. Best of all, my boyfriend proposed to me in our lovely, romantic room! It is THE MOST ROMANTIC ROOM, famous photos of couples kissing on the streets of Paris, that type of room. I believe each one has a different theme. They are spacious and comfortable and clean, clean, clean.
The management and staff are WONDERFUL - friendly, kind - so much to write home about. We can't say enough good things about this boutique hotel find.



	"Hidden gem!" Reviewed by K Ri of Perth on Jun 18, 2008 After already staying in South Beach, Miami in another hotel I needed to book an additional night. The hotel I was staying in was full, so I looked at other available hotels. Using TripAdvisor I found the Delores, which was actually one block behind the hotel I was staying in! The rate I got was excellent ($90), so a real good value. I walked past there a couple of times, but from the outside it looks plain and not really inviting, but that will change once you are inside! It's a basic hotel (I believe 3 stars), with a modern interior, new and very clean rooms and the reception staff (all 3) were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were small, but had all comforts you need - and even a flatscreen TV. The location is great, on Collins Av. and just one block from Ocean Drive. Breakfast was very basic (coffee, tea, orange juice and some muffins), but it was free of charge - so no complaints about that! If you want to have a small but comfortable, modern, clean hotel in South Beach with friendly staff, you can't go wrong here. Highly recommended!

	"Amazing change: best unknown deal in Miami" Reviewed by K Ri of Perth on Jun 18, 2008 If you like to try a real "new" old Hotel in Miami, go now to Delores! Amazing change: it was a very cheap Hotel in South Beach, whith a fifties flavor...Now, it became a truly new Art Deco Hotel, and prices are still very, very interesting. I couldn't realize how this people changed all in only some months: new kitchens new air conditioning, new flat screens. Everything clean and new. I tryed near all of this kind in South Beach and Delores became the best. Also amazing: an ancient employee, Luigi, came back and became manager. He is italian, and knows everything about what European are looking in South Beach. I believe, really, the Delores became the best kept secret in South Beach.
